And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: And he drank of the wine, and was drunken (9:20-9:21)

· The Bible tells us that Noah was a “husbandman” or farmer. In other words, Noah lived off the earth and with the earth. We should do likewise. Even if we are not farmers like Noah was, we should live a subsistence lifestyle, taking only as much as we need from the earth.

· Noah was not only the world’s first farmer, but he was the first to discover the holiness of wine. Like the Jews, we thank God for providing us with wine at every meal, drinking until we, like Noah, are drunk. Wine elevates us, brings us closer to God.

· In order to fulfill our duty to wine, many members of the Deluvian Church plant vineyards in their backyard. We bring our vintages to Church meetings so our fellow Members can also partake in the festivities. Frequently, Church Worship Meetings can extend into the small hours of the night as Members become consumed by their Love for Noah.

I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth (9:13).

· Every time God places a bow on the clouds, he is reminding us of his Covenant with Noah. We recognize this Holy Covenant every day through our clothes, which bear all of the colors of the rainbow. We are currently working on a Deluvian line of clothes that reflects this observance in a flattering and fashionable manner.

· When God came to Noah and told him to build an Ark, Noah quickly obeyed. When God comes to us, we should just as quickly and devotedly follow his requests. Members of the Church of Noah frequently report that they hear the voice of the Lord.

· After setting foot on dry land, the first thing Noah did was build an altar and offer burnt offerings to the Lord. We follow Noah’s example and make offerings to the Lord several times each year. Because we do not know what animal Noah used in his offerings, we alternate our offerings between whole chicken, sectioned cow, and occasionally skewered lamb. We use primarily charcoal or gas fires to create these offerings.
