We are often asked how our Church is different from Protestant or Catholic or even Jewish Churches. The Deluvian Church recognizes the allegorical importance of the biblical figures of Moses, Aaron, and Jesus, just like many Christian churches. However, we believe that among the ancient prophetic figures, only Noah should be worshipped (there is a reason why the story of Noah is told so early on in the Bible!). Out of reverence to Noah, we seek to model our daily living around that of Noah, and devote a significant portion of our worship services to recognizing our Everlasting Debt to Noah, our Savior.
Most importantly, however, we feel that the contemporary Christian view of our Lord is woefully incorrect. The Lord of the Old Testament is a terrible and powerful god. Christianity has corrupted the might and glory of the Lord, portraying God as a gentle–and implicitly weak–lamb.
God is great and terrible, and our failure to respect this will be our undoing.
The Deluvian Church doesn’t have mass, and it doesn’t have Bar Mitzvahs. However, the Deluvian Church has Community, Love, and the True Worship of our True Savior.
